![]() Sam was fantastic learning how to be patient and Wait for things as well as learning how to Down on cue. He learned them so fast that we had time to work on Stay for duration and distance. Next time will add in distractions and work on his door greetings. ![]() Using a high rate of reinforcement we taught Abby how to walk without pulling, even when walking towards her favorite rabbit hole. We also had the benefit of a bus full of people unload nearby so could do some socialization. ![]() Bella did extremely well learning how to Drop It and Leave It. We practiced with food and tissues and she passed every test. She is such an eager and fast learner. ![]() Snowball just loved playing the recall games that taught her how to Come When Called. She especially enjoyed Puppy Ping Pong as she raced back and forth each time we called her. ![]() Zuke gets very excited around strangers, often resulting in uncontrolled barking. Last week we taught him a Quiet cue which is fairly successful at stopping the barking, but it does not address the excitement. The purpose of Dr. Karen Overall's Protocol for Relaxation is to teach the dog to sit and stay while relaxing in a variety of circumstances. For the first couple of tries Zuke couldn't finish the tasks, but with practice he was able to complete the first set for all three of us. |
